Psychometrician Licensure Examination BLEPP Guide and Results

The Philippines Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) administers the Psychometrician Licensure Examination BLEPP to regulate the profession of psychometricians and ensure that only qualified individuals could practice the profession.

Registered Psychometrician (RPm) is a license and title conferred to individuals who have passed the board exam. To pass, a graduate of bachelor’s degree in psychology has to undergo the exam and need a weighted general average of at least 75% with no subject grade below 60.

Note that RPm is different to RPsy, the latter referring to Registered Psychologist. RPsy requires both bachelor and masteral degree on psychology.

Psychometricians are responsible for administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests for patients in hospitals, mental health facilities, and community programs.

PRC administers the board exams by virtue of the Philippine Psychology Act of 2009 (RA 10029). The examination covers: Industrial Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Abnormal Psychology, and Theories of Personality.

In this webpage, we’ll explore the Psychometrician Licensure Examination, including recent results and strategies to top the assessment:

Why Aspire to Become a Licensed Psychometrician

Demand for psychometricians is high – which means, you can find a job easier than most professions.

The demand could be attributed to regulatory laws created by the government, pushing for educational accountability and the demand for quality assurance in testing centers.

A psychometrician is a professional who has been registered and issued a valid Certificate of Registration and a valid Professional ID Card as such by the Professional Regulatory Board of Psychology and the PRC to practice psychometrics.

Think of personality or aptitude test. Surely, you’ve taken those types of exams in school or when applying for work. Know who created them?

Psychometricians design these psychological tests. They are responsible for studying measurements of people’s knowledge, skills and abilities – through developing tests and examinations that measures a person’s innate or learned KSAs.

Their work provides tremendous positive impact in society.
