How to Apply for the Civil Service Exam

Application is usually done two to three months before the exam date, and acceptance of applications is usually on a first come, first-served basis, and CSC offices may close acceptance before the deadline if the quota of examinees is reached.

To apply, you must meet the following qualification requirements:

• Filipino citizen,
• At least 18 years old on the date of filing of applications,
• Of good moral character,
• Has not been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs,
• Has not been dishonorably discharged from the military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government, and
• Has not taken the same level of Civil Service Examination, either through PPT or other test modes, within three (3) months before the date of examination

An applicant must prepare the following admission requirements:

• Fully accomplished Application Form (CS Form No. 100),
• Four (4) pieces of identical ID pictures,
• Original and photocopy of accepted ID cards for civil service exams, and
