From Humble Background to Cum Laude
He shared that he felt immense pressure to succeed since he graduated as a Cum Laude and didn’t want to disappoint his parents, who had made significant sacrifices for him to complete his education.
“To be honest, I came from a humble background. We struggled, and my family’s livelihood was farming. If there was no harvest, there was nothing to eat. But as long as I could go to school, I always gave my best. I graduated as a Cum Laude, and the pressure of not passing the Board Exam for Teachers was also on my mind,” Angelito said.
“So when I found out that I passed, I couldn’t help but cry because I remembered all the hardships, my family’s sacrifices, and ALL our sacrifices were rewarded at the right time.”
Angelito, that time, also shared a message for his fellow board exam takers.
3 Tips to Board Exam Takers from Cum Laude
“I have three things to say to fellow Board takers based on my experiences. First, STUDY. It’s impossible to be knowledgeable about the questions that will come up in the exam if we don’t study and prepare.”
“Second, FOCUS. I know there are many important things in life, but prioritize your studies. I recommend enrolling in a review center.”
“Lastly and most importantly, PRAY. It’s free to pray and ask for forgiveness and help from the Lord. It’s all free, but the reward is immense.”
“I know we all have different ways of learning, but one thing I can assure is the same for all of us is prayer.”
Congratulations, Teacher Angelito!
